Some special considerations:
- Word, PDF, Power Point, HTML, and Image documents will all display directly within Desire2Learn. Other files can be uploaded to D2L then students can download them to utilize the information.
- Video files do not work reliably when uploaded directly into D2L. We offer a streaming media repository where you can upload your videos onto a YouTube-like service and then embed them in your course. All you need to do for this is bring the videos to Teresa in CIS or to the Media Center and they can get them into your course.
- Audio files will play directly in Desire2Learn, but students will be able to download them. If you need audio that is copyright protected from download please contact Teresa in CIS or the Media Center.
- Power Points with voice over can be displayed in D2L, but the audio can not be played directly through the learning management system. Students can access the audio presentation by downloading the file and opening it in Power Point.
Are you having trouble uploading something into D2L? Make sure you are uploading to content rather than to the import tool, or try using a a compressed folder to upload large files.
